Library users wishing to print from a computer within the library must purchase a debit card from the Circulation Desk in order to do so.  The card will have an amount of money specified by the purchaser credited to it.  The minimum amount of money that will be credited to the card is $3.00.  The maximum amount is $20.00.

The debit cards are reusable (just like the department store gift cards), so save your card for future printing services.  Also, make sure that you keep up with your card that still has money on it.  Lost cards (with money still on them) cannot be replaced.  Losing a card will be just like losing cash.

Sending a Print Job to the Printer

When you arrive at a document that you want to print:

1. Click File.
2. Click Print.
3. Verify the number of copies.  You will be charged for multiple copies.
4. The number of pages and total dollar amount will be displayed.  Click OK.
5. Enter your social security number.  You will need this in order to print your jobs.
6. Click OK.

Printing Instructions

Go to the appropriate printer for the area from which you are printing.

1. Insert the debit card into the reader.  The value on the card will be displayed.
2. Enter your social security number to list the jobs that you have sent to the printer.  You will see only your jobs.
3. If you have one print job:
   a.  Highlight the job by clicking on the job number.
   b.  Click Print.
4. If you have several print jobs:
   a.  Click Select Multiple Jobs.
   b.  Highlight ALL jobs by clicking on the jobs numbers.
   c.  Click Print.
5. After all jobs have been printed, the value left will be displayed.  Click OK.  Your card should be returned to you automatically.  If it is not, push the black button below the slot where you insert your card.

To Display the Current Value on a Card

1. Insert the card into any debit card reader.
2. Click Query Card.
3. The amount on the card will be displayed.  Click OK.  Your card should be returned to you automatically.  If it is not, push the black button below the slot where you insert your card.
