Course Reserves

Reserve materials are located behind the Circulation Desk.  The amount of time that reserve items may be checked out varies.

Reserve items include those which instructors have requested be placed on limited checkout or library use only status to ensure that all students have equal opportunity to use the material.  Examples of items on reserve include, but are not limited to, books, journal articles, book chapters, and videos.

Checking out Reserve Materials

In order to check out an item that is on reserve, be prepared to give library staff your instructor's name, your course name, and the title of the material that you are requesting.  Course reserves are listed in the online web catalog (EAGLIT) by the instructor's name, the course name, and the title of the material.

Loan Periods

Loan periods for reserve items are set by the instructor who places the item on reserve.  The following options apply:  Library Use Only, 1 day, 3 day and 7 day.

Electronic Reserves

If an instructor requests that reserve items be made available electronically to students, those items are available online through EAGLIT (the online catalog) to authorized students.  (Directions.)
