Bloom's Literary Reference Online  - Examines great writers, important works, memorable characters, and influential movements and events in world literature.  Features: Author biographies, literary criticism, timelines, themes, characters and Harold Bloom's Western Literary Canon list.

Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) -Provides indexing, abstracting, and free full text access for selected international scholarly journals in many subject areas, including agriculture and food science, biology, chemistry, health science, languages and literature, mathematics, physics, engineering, the arts, business, environmental science, history, law, political science, philosophy, religion, and social science. Coverage varies by title (updated continuously).

Dissertations Abstracts - ProQuest Digital Dissertations provides online access to citations and abstracts for every title in the Dissertation Abstracts database.  Titles published since 1997 are available in PDF digital format and have 24 page previews.

Gale Literary Index  is a master index to the major literature products published by Gale. It combines and cross-references over 157,000 author names, including pseudonyms and variant names, and listings for over 210,000 titles into one source.  It is a electronic index for the gale literature books found in the reference section of the library.  Check the EAGLIT for the call numbers for titles.

Humanities International Complete - provides full text of hundreds of journals, books and other published sources from around the world. Produced by Whitston Publishing (an imprint of EBSCO Publishing), this database includes all data from Humanities International Index (over 2,000 titles and 2 million records) plus unique full text content, much of which is not found in other databases. The database includes full text for more than 770 journals.

JSTOR - The JSTOR archive holds the complete digitized back runs of core scholarly journals, starting with the very first issues, some dating as far back as the 1600s. New titles and disciplines are being added regularly. Issues of journals are never "out"; they are always accessible, and in excellent condition. The capacity for searching across disciplines opens up vast possibilities for scholarship and research. The John F. Moss Library has access to all five Arts & Sciences Collections, the Health & General Science Collection, Biological Sciences Collection and the Business II Collection.

Literary Reference Center (LRC) is a comprehensive literary reference database, which provides users with a broad spectrum of reference information from antiquity to the present day. LRC is a completely full-text database that combines information from over 1,000 books and monographs, major literary encyclopedias and reference works, hundreds of literary journals, and unique sources not available anywhere else. LRC contains detailed information on the most studied authors and their works and is an essential resource for public, academic and high school libraries.

Literature Resource Center - This all-inclusive database contains information on both classical and contemporary authors and their works. Obtain biographies of authors, bibliographies of all they have written, critical essays and contextual information. Search by the author's name, the title of the work, or even by the title of the periodical or journal that is part of the database.  (Gale)

MLA (Modern Language Association) -Produced by the Modern Language Association of America, the MLA International Bibliography indexes critical scholarship on literature, language, linguistics and folklore. Coverage includes journal articles, series, monographs, dissertations, bibliographies, proceedings and other materials. The database includes all records indexed from 1963 to the present, approximately 1,200,000 records.  (EBSCO)

MasterFILE Premier ­ Designed specifically for the Public Library, MasterFILE Premier offers information on a broad variety of subjects, including general interest, multi-cultural, business, and much more. Searchable full text for over 1,820 journals, including Consumer Reports and Business Week. Also included are searchable full text for nearly 5,000 Magill's Book Reviews, nearly 1,400 journals with images, the Essential Documents in American History database, over 1.7 million company records from Dun & Bradstreet, and much more.   

Project Muse -  is a unique collaboration between libraries and publishers providing 100% full-text, affordable and user-friendly online access to over 300 high quality humanities, arts, and social sciences journals from 60 scholarly publishers.

 
Research Library - One of the most comprehensive databases available through the ProQuest® online system, Research Library provides access to full-text journals across a wide range of subject areas, including business, education, literature, political science, and psychology. (ProQuest)

Scribner Writer's Series includes 15-20 page signed essays on more than 1,600 authors and literary genres drawn from the acclaimed Scribner print series.

Student Resource Center GOLD - Aimed at High School students, this database offers award winning content based on national curriculum standards. Students can find information they need whether working from home, the classroom, or the library. Information for homework assignments, research papers and essays can be found using this database of reference materials, primary source documents, and magazines about literature, science, history and biography. The Twayne Authors Series - Twayne World, English, and US Authors   
Comprises 600 full-text titles from the Twayne Literary Masters series, 200 each from Twayne World, US, and English Authors.

Twentieth Century American Poetry ­ 52,000 poems drawn from 750 volumes of 20th century American poetry are easily accessed by this database. Ulrichsweb.com ­ A valuable source for tracking items that are published on a regular basis, such as consumer and trade magazines, scholarly journals, newsletters, newspapers, and monographic series and electronic publication. Each record is highly detailed, showing a full description of the periodical, alternative formats of the periodical, publisher and ordering information, and reviews.

Wilson OmniFile Full Text, Mega Edition is a multi-disciplinary database providing the complete content - indexing, abstracts, and full text - from six of Wilson's full-text databases: Education, General Science, Humanities , Readers' Guide , Social Sciences, and Wilson Business; plus five additional periodical databases: Applied Science & Technology , Art , Biological & Agricultural Index, Index to Legal Periodicals & Books, and Library Literature & Information Science.  Indexing begins in 1982, abstracts in 1984, and full-text coverage in 1994.  Each database has its own start dates for indexing, abstracting, and full text; start dates for full-text rights to individual journals vary within a database.
