The
AccuNet/AP Multimedia Archive
-
is an electronic library containing The AP's current year's photo reports
and a selection of photos from their 50 million image print and negative
library. The Multimedia Archive also includes graphics, text and audio - all
from The Associated Press. ACM Digital Library is a vast collection of citations and full text from ACM journal and newsletter articles and conference proceedings. ACM stands for Association of Computing Machinery. The ACM Portal also includes an additional tool. The Guide (to computing literature) is a collection of bibliographic citations and abstracts of works published by ACM and other publishers. Citations for all ACM published works are included in the Guide as a small subset of the total bibliographic space. There are more than 750,00 citations from 3,000+ publishers which include books, journal articles, proceedings, technical reports, doctoral dissertations and master's theses.
Ancient and Medieval History -
Formerly called Ancient History &
Culture, Ancient and Medieval History Online has been expanded to
cover eight civilizations—ancient Egypt, ancient Mesopotamia, ancient
Greece, ancient Rome, ancient and medieval Africa, medieval Europe, the
Americas, and ancient and medieval Asia. Users can research each
civilization in depth or use the browse feature to conduct comparative
studies of events and developments across civilizations. This expansive
database offers an unprecedented amount of information about these
civilizations and their places in history, with content drawn from Facts On
File’s acclaimed print references.
The Biography Resource Center

is a comprehensive database of biographical information on more than 185,000
people from throughout history, around the world, and across all disciplines
and subject areas. It contains approximately 250,000 biographies from
respected Gale Group sources. The database also includes full-text articles
from nearly 250 periodicals.
Bloom's Literary Reference Online - Examines great writers,
important works, memorable characters, and influential movements and events
in world literature. Features: Author biographies, literary criticism,
timelines, themes, characters and Harold Bloom's Western Literary Canon
list.
Book Review Digest
- is
produced by The H. W. Wilson Company, is a bibliographic database that cites
and provides excerpts of reviews of current English-language fiction and
nonfiction books for children and adults. An abstract of each book is also
provided. Periodical coverage includes leading magazines from the United
States, Canada and Great Britain.
Books in Print.com Find title,
author, ISBN number( a unique number for the book) and publisher information
for over 3.4 million books, along with 600,000 full text reviews of many of
these books. Give the information to a librarian for easy ordering for their
collection or through interlibrary loan. One can also search by "Children's
Room" to find age and reading level specific books, cassettes and videos; or
search "In the Media," which allows one to browse titles mentioned on such

CINAHL with Full Text

health journals, providing full text for more than 520 journals indexed in
CINAHL. This authoritative file contains full text for many of the
most used journals in the CINAHL index - with no embargo. With
full-text coverage dating back to 1982, CINAHL with Full Text is the
definitive research tool for all areas of nursing and allied health
literature.

Communication
& Mass Media Complete - This database provides the most robust, quality research
solution in areas related to communication and mass media. This database
originated with the acquisition and subsequent merging of two popular
databases in the fields of communication and mass media studies -- CommSearch (formerly produced by the National Communication Association
(NCA)), and Mass Media Articles Index (formerly produced by
Pennsylvania State University). EBSCO has combined the extensive coverage of
these two resources, and has greatly expanded upon them (both in terms of

Criminal Justice Abstracts -
This database contains comprehensive coverage of
international journals, books, reports, dissertations, and unpublished
papers on criminology and related disciplines. The database
contains indexes and summaries of international journal articles, books, and
governmental and non-governmental reports on virtually any topic in criminal
justice.
Criminal
Justice Periodicals Index (CJPI) - Proquest's CJPI can provide
information on virtually any criminal justice topic. The database offers ASCII text,
image, and Text+Graphics coverage for about 50 of the titles most frequently
accessed by criminal justice researchers. CJPI also include complete
indexing and abstracts for another 140 relevant U.S. and international
journals. This is updated weekly.
The D&B Million Dollar Database - features 14 million company records,
including all U.S. businesses and the most significant segment of Canadian
businesses. It provides comprehensive marketing information on both public
and private companies and their executives. Profiles include specialty
information like executive biographies and proprietary eight-digit SIC

Directory of Open Access Journals
(DOAJ) -Provides indexing, abstracting, and free full text access for
selected international scholarly journals in many subject areas, including
agriculture and food science, biology, chemistry, health science, languages
and literature, mathematics, physics, engineering, the arts, business,
environmental science, history, law, political science, philosophy,
religion, and social science. Coverage varies by title (updated
continuously).
Dissertations Abstracts
- ProQuest Digital
Dissertations provides online access to citations and abstracts for every
title in the Dissertation Abstracts database. Titles published since 1997
are available in PDF digital format and have 24 page previews.
Education Research Complete is the definitive online resource for
education research. Topics covered include all levels of education from
early childhood to higher education, and all educational specialties, such
as multilingual education, health education, and testing. Education
Research Complete provides indexing and abstracts for more than 1,820
journals, as well as full text for more than 900 journals, and includes full
text for more than 71 books and monographs, and for numerous
education-related conference papers.
Eighteenth Century Collections Online -Use
Eighteenth Century Collections Online to access the digital images of every
page of 150,000 books published during the 18th Century. With full-text
searching of approximately 26 million pages, the product allows researchers
new methods of access to critical information in the fields of history,
literature, religion, law, fine arts, science and more.
Ferguson's Career Guidance Center - is a comprehensive career
research database, providing detailed and up-to-date profiles of more than
2,900 of today’s most popular jobs in 93 industries. Content is drawn from
the new edition of the acclaimed Encyclopedia of Careers and Vocational
Guidance and from the popular Career Opportunities series. A
searchable archive of articles from current and past issues of Career
Opportunities News, a 16-page newsletter, provides timely information

GPO Access–
GPO Access is a service of the U.S. Government Printing Office that provides
free electronic access to a wealth of important information products
produced by the Federal Government. The information provided on this site is
the official, published version and the information retrieved from GPO
Access can be used without restriction, unless specifically noted. This free
service is funded by the Federal Depository Library Program and has grown
out of Public Law 103-40, known as the Government Printing Office Electronic
Information Enhancement Act of 1993.
Health
Reference Center - is a comprehensive encyclopedic database
containing thousands of hyperlinked entries organized into four major
categories: conditions and diseases, mental health, health and wellness, and
body systems. It provides clear information on the causes, cures, key
research, medical terms, symptoms, treatments and trends, and organizations
in each field of study. Each content area is searchable by keyword and has a

The History Resource Center: World
combines Gale's proprietary

Humanities
International Complete - provides full text of hundreds of
journals, books and other published sources from around the world. Produced
by Whitston Publishing (an imprint of EBSCO Publishing), this database
includes all data from Humanities International Index (over 2,000
titles and 2 million records) plus unique full text content, much of which
is not found in other databases. The database includes full text for more
than 770 journals.
IEEE Xplore - is an online delivery system providing full text access to
the world's highest quality technical literature in electrical engineering,
computer science, and electronics. IEEE Xplore contains full text documents
from IEEE journals, transactions, magazines, letters, conference
proceedings, standards, and IEE (Institution of Electrical Engineers)
publications.

The MLA Directory of Periodicals - offers detailed information on over
7,100 journals, with 4,400 currently indexed in the International
Bibliography. The detailed entries include editorial contact information, as
well as frequency, circulation, subscription prices and submission

MLA International Bibliography - is a bibliography of journal articles,
books and dissertations. Produced by the Modern Language Association, the

Pre-CINAHL - is intended to provide current awareness of new journal articles, and
includes a rotating file of limited bibliographic information (no subject
searching), which are available to researchers only for the time when these
articles are being assigned additional indexing. This enables users to gain
access to article citations that otherwise would not be available. Once the
bibliographic records are complete, they are added to the CINAHL
database and removed from Pre-CINAHL.

Science Direct - was first launched in 1997 as an online host facility
for Elsevier Science's full text journals, Science Direct has grown to
become the largest online full text platform for scientific, technical and
medical information. It is based on the World Wide Web, and now offers the
full text of over 1,100 journals. Desktop access to information is provided
via institutional library subscriptions.
Science Online -
This curriculum-oriented database offers a
comprehensive, authoritative overview of a broad range of scientific
disciplines through extensive definitions, essays, diagrams, illustrations,
images, biographies, experiments, and activities. The content is organized
by subject area and type of resource, as well as by the National Science
