- What does “print books” mean?
- Books that are physically on the library shelves in Texarkana. The John F. Moss Library owns
approximately 130,000 volumes.

- E-books are print books in an electronic format. The library owns 50,000+ e-books.

The easiest way is to use the electronic resource NetLibrary.

- You can search by titles, category, locator and citation finder.

- Document Delivery is a service though which Distance Education Students
can request items (print books or print journal articles) from our
library that can be delivered to an off campus site.
- Step 1: Use the EAGLIT to determine what the library owns.
- Step 2: Use an electronic ILL form to request items for Document
Delivery. Fill in all the appropriate information in the blanks.

- Fill in "NTCC Texpress Delivery" in the Campus blank if you
are taking classes on the Mt. Pleasant campus.
- Fill in "Hallsville/Instructor's Name" in the Campus blank if
you are taking classes at the Hallsville ISD location or “Hughes
Springs/Instructor’s Name” if taking classes at the Hughes Springs ISD
location. The library will make
arrangements with your instructor to deliver and return materials if
required.
- Fill in "your home address" in the Campus blank if you are enrolled
in Web Courses only.

- A service used by students and faculty to secure books or articles that
our library does not own. The
process usually takes from 5 - 10 days and is free unless the lender
charges. An ILL request must be submitted to the library.

- Distance education students may use the TexShare Library card to borrow
materials from libraries participating in TexShare Card program.
- Texshare is a resource sharing program among public colleges,
private colleges, universities and public libraries in Texas, designed
to improve library services to Texans. A list of participating
libraries can be found at http://www.texshare.edu/generalinfo/about/programs.html .

- TexShare cards may be obtained by filling out a form and retuning
it to the Circulation Department of the Library. A form can
be found at http://library.tamut.edu/LibraryInfo/Forms/Texshare.pdf
- A copy of your student ID must be included.
- TexShare cards must be renewed each semester.

- Contact a librarian for assistance in using the library, doing research,
locating information or instructions on using the library
databases. The desk is staffed Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m.
to 5 p.m.
